Mr Jag ZF gearbox Foil under auto selector

Hi all hope you're all safe and well. I have a jag ZF gearbox fitted to my stag. Those of you who also have one fitted know that the Auto selector foil does not align with the appropriate gear. I understand that there is available a foil that can be fitted to correct this. Any idea where I can purchase one, please. Thank you

They were produced by a member of this forum, who kindly posted details in the Technical Section under Powertrain: https://www.socforum.com/forum/forum...4-speed-legend

I have printed this out for my zf, laminated it and fixed it on top of the existing logo, after scraping the print off the rear of the selector ,if that makes sense seemed the most logical and easy fitting method, still not perfect alignment but better than it was

What's the best material to print this on? I have a few old cellophane sheets from the days I used an overhead projector - now that's another long gone piece of office kit!

That's what I used many years ago, Nigel, and it worked well.

Double sided onto 70/80 gms paper & laminated.
printing double sided gives the green backing.
if you struggle to make your own with the files just pm me & I’ll post some ready to glue into a new blank.

The intention of the legends I made was to glue into a new blank surround that doesn’t have a legend.
It wasn’t intended to be added to an original surround that has the 3 speed legend.
The alignment of the arrow to the legend can be anywhere from way off to perfect, depending on quite a few variables, much like the original one.

Variables include the linkage position, the surround position, the way it’s been glued in etc.
if posting I usually send 2 or 3 for trial and error.
the spacing of the gear indicators is determined by the size of font & available space. The distance is even.
they are only ever intended to give an indication.

Would be nice to see some pictures of successfully installed legends.

would be possible to remake the surround with the legend molded in, but I’m not sure there’s much of a market for those.

I think the cellophane isn’t the best because you don’t get the white text.
