Hardtop lock plate hole!!!!

Folks, has any one come up with a method to fill the vacant hole/gap in the hardtop lock plate, the one that sits behind the B post.

When the top is down the hole is unsightly.

Is there some type of plug available?

It seems a bit odd that a well detailed car has such a glaring error.

The most important thing is to remember to remove them before putting the hood up, particularly if you are in a hurry. And how do I know??

What hole, I've owned my Stag nearly 30 years.

The holes are covered by my combined wind break and tonneau.

I do think looking down to see springs etc is a bit odd, specially as a kid could get his hand in.

I will look now watch what happens when as I put the hood up, as my question - why are the holes there will be answered.
