Diff mounting bush/washers

Morning all

Restoration's going well, now fitting up the diff, looking through the parts catalogue I can't find the top washers anywhere (153235) that fit above the bush, they also seem to be no longer available now, so just to be sure I'm not missing something, do they go between the bush and body, or are they fitted to the pin and hidden out of sight within the cavity when originally built? If I need to make some up would anyone out there have the dimensions please.

Hi Chris

I just did my rear diff and was wisely advised by Goldstar Paul that they are welded in with the mounting studs/pins in the cavity (if you mean part 153421, as in the attached). If your diff mounting pins are there then I assume the washers are safe and well in the cavity.

If you need to replace the pins, I think you will need to find some used ones and get them welded in. Here are some pics from a previous post. https://www.socforum.com/forum/forum...-mounting-pins

Thank you both, yes that will be the ones I did mean 153421 (grey moment), that's just what I wanted to hear, I've not lost them them then, pins are both in good shape as is the area around them.
