Looking for a RH door handle

Has anyone got a RH outer door handle that I could buy? I'm not too worried about corrosion in the bowl part but the top lip that hooks under the door skin on the one I have is breaking away. ISTR they are made of monkey metal so no chance to solder it.....

Mazak is quite a good material for decorative parts.
it’s possible to repair with alloy brazing rods.
Its also possible to get nice new plastic door handles from our specialist suppliers too.
      just saying.

Does the plastic one fit and function exactly as the metal one? Will a plastic one fit my Mk1 doors & locks?

A few years ago, I was invited to a factory tour of top-end audio hifi manufacturer Linn, in Scotland. They highly rate mazac as the preferred material for making their turntable platters. It has good mass, and is easy to balance, as well as absorbing unwanted vibrations.

But then, they don't chrome plate them, and leave them in the rain for 50 years like we do!

I saw a program where a company in Basildon repaired a door handle and chromed using a chemical paint looked amazing.

The benefit is it covers anything so you can fill holes or corrosion in the handle rub smooth and Chrome spray it. The chemicals used are the same that’s used to make the backing on mirrors, might be another way to keep the original handles.

              Interesting reading

Their server appears to be down.
it also appears to be easy to charge 50% + of the price of chrome for paint with big claims that doesn’t have a durability. I tried some.
