Badge fell off, I'm so gutted!!

Out on a drive the other day and came home to realise my badge (which had been badly glued on!!) is missing somewhere in the new forest!!

I'm so gutted, as these are upwards of £50 to replace.

I've seen a lovely silver one for sale on eBay which is allegedly from the Owners club, is that true?

I guess this is a shout out to any kind soul who has a spare front badge knocking around that they don't need....

    Chix.
If you are talking about the insert for the grille badge, the Mk1 cars had a silver background to all three badges, and the Mk2 had black. SOCTFL funded the remanufacture of all three Mk2 badges and the inserts for the front one cost around £40 from the usual suppliers. I don't know where the Ebay one has come from, but a silver one at the front might look a bit out of place if you have black ones on the rear wings!

      Hi Chix

I was looking for a grey badge a while ago None of the usual suppliers had any. Someone suggested SOC Spares. I contacted them and they had some that were rated as seconds with very minor defects. I bought one from them, and I'm still looking for any defects in the badge. In terms of securing it, I used silicone sealant (a particular type, see thread on Grille badge insert - https://www.socforum.com/forum/forum...e-badge-insert). Don't know how long it will last, but it's still stuck on.

      Cheers

        Sorry to hear & sympathy.
have had to replace quite a few rear wing badges over the years due to cracking or falling out or maybe even being nicked.
        is yours grey or black?

Thanks for the sympathy. Mine was black, although I’d stick either on there rather than leave it blank!

I lost mine in a very similar situation, the first time I noticed it hanging off. Removed and Re-glued it. It lasted about 7 years and then, lo and behold it disappeared. Currently Ive removed the holder and so it’s totally badge- less - I actually prefer the look, and I know what sort of car it is, I don’t need a reminder. CE4B1985-58E7-41D5-BD6C-86A30D418DBE.jpeg
