Triumph Stag Front Wing House Badge

    Hello!
Can anyone tell me when triumph started using the Leyland Badge on the front wings, adjacent to the leading edge of the door please? Also, does any one have the measurements of where they would be positioned on the wing, even approximate ones will do.
    Thank you for your help,
    Kind regards,
    Lagnakeil

Legend has it these badges were not factory fitted, but supplied to the dealers to fit if they saw fit, or the customers asked for them. Some cars had non fitted, some had only one on the passenger side, and some had two. It also appears that there were no measurements supplied to the dealers, so positions varied. (Info from Original Triumph Stag, the Restorers Guide by James Taylor).
The badges themselves were affectionately know as the flying a***holes.
I bought new ones to fit after my car was restored, but they are still in their wrapping!

Go to main SOC website. Under Members Area you can find Club Magazine Archive. Look for Issue 449.
