Any recommendations for a replacement electronic inginition would be gratefully received.
I had my Stag distributor modified by 123Ignition in the Netherlands, which is fully programmable on a laptop, but the downside is its cost (about £800 when we were still in the EU), but that said, I am very pleased with its performance.
We do not offer online purchasing as so many cars do not have the original distributors fitted and we wish to ensure that you purchase the correct part.
A cost effective alternative would be the Pertronix system that fits in your existing dizzy like the Lumenition, but isn't programmable, but people on here generally find it a reliable set up.
Unsure about your distributor type - search our products below. There will be the model and serial numbers stamped on the body to identify it, however, a lot of distributors have been changed over the years and may not be the original one and/or correct model for your vehicle.

Got mine from distributor Doctor, very helpful and knowledgeable chap.
From what I undestand with the Luminition is that the usual culprit is the connector block that goes faulty.
As above. The only problem I had with Lumenition in 100,000 miles across two Stags was with the inline connector. Replaced with a Superseal 3-way connector - problem solved.
More recently, I sent the whole distributor to the Distributor Doctor where it was serviced, fitted with a Pertronix module, new vacuum unit and calibrated. Not cheap, but should be good to go for a decade or two. Now running fine with the original ballast wire and a Bosch coil.
