I'm ironing out issues with Stag no.2 I plan to take it to a shop to get the wheels aligned. But in the meantime I am noting it's pulling to the right and would like to manually adjust the tracking if i can. if the car is pulling to the right, what can I to to correct this. So far the wheel is centered to the rack using the dimple in the rack shaft

Having the tracking out will not usually cause the steering to pull one way. The misalignment will always be shared between each front wheel.
It could be caused by a worn track rod end, or bottom ball joint, but I suspect it might just be caused by the road camber. A very small amount of toe-in will minimise this when the tracking is done.
My stags have always drifted to the left on a sloping surface (RHD!). Without the correct equipment you can't really do it yourself, and to do it properly, both track rods should be adjusted by the same amount.

I use this method before I bought my Dunlop AG40 gauge, it worked very well, I pinched of a E-bay site

I rebuilt the front end and don't suspect any issues with the track rod ends nor the lower ball joints but will check again. I made from 1/2" gas pipes a very large homemade caliper so I can measure the gap between front and back of wheels. . I've see this document or something similar before. Thanks.

I bought and used a Trackrite made by Gunson recently, brilliant piece of kit which makes it easy to adjust both front and rear tracking.
£60.00 or so, cheaper than going to a specialist (I believe Kwik Fit put themselves in that bracket -LOL!)
