can anyone tell me how to remove the cable clip on the bulkhead that holds the bonnet pull cable in place. it seems to be almost hidden away out of reach.

Pull the old one out with pliers. Have a new one ready to replace it.
only available in black now iirc. Originals were often grey.
usually the base is left in the bulkhead hole. Prise that out too.
the new part will be molded all in one.
push in & give it a firm tap to activate its rivet function.
the membrane snaps & the clip self enters the base and tightens.
specilist Ford suppliers may still have grey ones, but they could possibly be metric?
