    Problem 1 - Refitting Dashboard

    Evening All,

Just had the windscreen fitted today (all went well, phew) and then tried to refit the dashboard which has caused me a headache. When the dash is pushed forward as far as possible and bolted up there is a large gap almost the entire width, it only touches the A post at each side. The gap is big enough to push a finger through and it doesn't seem to be fouling anything, not even the new screen rubber. I tried the old dash as well and that also didn't fit properly. Any ideas about what may be causing this?

    Regards,

There is a trim piece at the rear of the dash that covers this gap.

I just fitted mine yesterday and have ended up with a few mm (5 max) gap between the demister outlet finishing strip and the windscreen rubber. The fixing holes in the ends of the fascia are elongated and I checked that I had heaved the fascia as far forward as the holes permit, but still ended up with this small gap,

I had the same gap and found a sealing strip in black that filled it neatly

          Hi Guys,

Thanks for the responses. I pre-fitted the demister vents and finishing strips to the dash as they can be a bugger to fit after the dash is in situ so there is no more trim to fit that might cover the gap.

Dickr - can you post a photo of the sealing strip in situ ? Thanks again.

Mark, it is a tricky area to photograph, but this one shows a section quite clearly IMG_4988.JPG
