    Manual pedals.

I've been driving an auto for about 20 years. Just started driving the manual Stag. I've noticed the brake an accelerator pedal are at the same level and on a few occasions, I've pressed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal. The brake and accelerator are at the same level on the auto, but since the auto's brake pedal is much wider, I typically press the left side of the pedal. One of my to do projects would be to bend the accelerator pedal below the pivot point so it is about 1 inch lower than the brake pedal. But I'm sure by the time I get around to it, I wont have the problem.

Agreed, mine is manual & I have big feet, if I have wider shoes on then it can lead to a brief brown trouser moment when braking!!! I am going to try to separate the two a bit more when reassembling the car.
Auto transmission rebuilding since 1979 - for my sins!

Handy having at the same level as it facilitates heel/toe (figuratively) braking whilst keeping some revs on. Especially useful when the engine's cold.
