    oil in the speedo head

    hi all
A while back my speedo was waving about all over the place, when i took it apart i found that the speedo head had quite a lot of oil that had worked up speedo cable. I cleaned everything up and reassembled. Fast forward 2years and i noticed oil again at the speedo end of the cable...

Should there be an o-ring to stop oil from the o/d ? Can't see anything in the parts diagrams. Am i going mad?

    Thanks
    Richard

    Hi Richard

Just a guess, but I reckon you may have a blocked breather.

There is a small hole in the gearbox top cover. Near the front IIRC.
