    Transmission tunnel wiring identification.

can anyone help with identifying what goes where please.

There seems to be three separate wiring looms suppling wires to the transmission tunnel.
The largest loom serves the interior light switch via a socket and has two other sockets for the window regulators, it also carries the wiring for the overdrive switch (Yellow/Yellow). what are the other wires in the loom for?. One sheathed grouping paired; Red/White striped and Black. There is also a single wire Blue/Black striped.

The second loom carries a Red wire for the power supply to the radio. There is also a metal cylindrical device with an internal green warning light, White/Green striped cable and Black cable already fitted. the other cables in this loom are; two Green/White striped cables connected together and Black, a Purple and Black pair, a Purple/Red stripe and Black pair, and lastly a single Red wire attached to a metal bulb holder.

The third loom has one Purple/White striped cable and Black paired, then a triple grouping of Green/Yellow stripe, Purple/Blue stripe and Green/Grey stripe, the only other cable being a single White/Blue stripe.

any help and advice would be be appreciated, and I can post images if that would help.

Yes take a look at that other thread.. But I'll have a go..

First loom is for the lower area, the red/white and black are for an automatic selector illumination lamp (We worked that out in that thread above) Blue/ Black?? Dunno most blue wires are involved with Headlights? but it may be the handbrake switch, its usually much longer than the rest..

Second loom.. Radio power is usually pink/white? cylindrical device is probably the indicator lamp for the heated rear window, white green pair its switch But I don't see a wire for the other end of that switch, (white/Black, maybe purple/blue) the purple /red -black may be the RHS console lamp. The single red may be a red/white for the cigar lighter illumination, The purple and black are for the cigar lighter itself. Single red attached to bulb holder may be the console illumination but its usually red/white and only on Federal cars?

Third loom, triple grouping of Green/Yellow stripe, Purple/Blue stripe and Green/Grey stripe is the heater blower switch, blue/white is the choke switch Purple/white and black may be the console LHS lamp
