steering column play parts wanted

Where the best place to purchase parts for my steering column I've got lots of play steering wheel end also it does not retract or extend that part is solid so cold somebody tell me what parts I require to repair column

if theres play at the top its usually the bearing, it can often be corrected by replaceing the star washer with the special collar which has 3 little camp screws to hold it in place, this enables you to compress the taper bearing and remove the play,I think they are available from ej wards or SOC spares, you will need to dismantle the column to sort out the seized slider, you will need 2 x sterring column bush, part no 153040 and a bearing kit for the bottom 152554 kit. its not too difficult to do, follow the manual or pm me if you need further adviceDerek

If you have any problems I have about 40 steering columns complete must be a couple of decent ones for the price of £25 each posted

Tony harts top collar clamp is a good improvement when fitted with a preload. I think it’s available at paddocks.
it’s best to change all the parts though, top £ bottom when it’s out.
apperently , they can’t easily be rebuilt & sold unless they can be tested & CE marked…. May no longer apply post brexit?
after I researched the lower column parts & published a guide the parts began appearing on eBay by A.N.G. Parts.
the guide for those parts is in the technical section but the phone number is out of date.
