Headrests

Hi All,

I have a mark 1 with black interior, which I'd like to add headrests to the front seats. I don't want to just swap over to mark 2 seats because my seats have been recently refurbished and re-trimmed in leather.

My question to anyone who may be able to help is; Can this be done relatively easily? I've read that the mark 1 federal headrests can be fitted quite easily, but I can't seem to find any of those anyway!!

Can mark 2 headrests be fitted in any way to mark 1 seats? Or perhaps there are headrests from another vehicle which can be adapted to fit?

Any advice from anyone who may be able to assist would be very much appreciated. TIA

the rear seat frames are different between mk1 and mk2. so u won't be able to swap head rests. put an ad on the FB triumph stag page someone out of USA may be able to help. I have some on my car. the headrest frame I think can be fabricated out out some sheet metal. I think Aldridge sell the cover and foam.

The Mk1 Federal headrests are excellent if you can source some. I had them on my Mk1 and they came from Canada.

A well known purveyor of alternative air/fuel mixing devices used to make and sell them in the U.K., but I do not know if he still does.

I have a pair for sale but shipping from the USA may be relatively expensive, eventually I will travel to the U.K. and can bring them but that’s unlikely until next year. PM me if you are interested. I had pics on the for sale section which may still be there.
