Door lock mechanism

I have a problem with my driver's side door lock, sometimes works sometimes doesn't and send to not work at all now. I took the door card off and found the locking mechanism, and it doesn't seem to move much, either with key or the inside lever, very little movement at all ?? What should I replace ?? Thank you Martin

Is it the little rod that has become detached. I had a similar problem and that was the cause, I used a spire washer to keep it in place.
There was a similar post on here very recently, check it out.

A locksmith will easily fix your problem. You better not waste your time.

mk1 door mechanism has a single rod and some springs. easy enough to fix if you know how
