Danish letter Æ founded in heads

Hi,

I am Stag owner from Denmark, i have long time wondered why there is the danisk letter Æ founded in the heads on the Stag. The letter only exist in Denmark. Anyone knows why, there must me some history ?

I think its just a stylised version of AE who made loads of auto motive stuff, pistons, valves etc

I think Neil is correct, fortunately it’s not a French letter..

Associated Engineering. No danish connection, just a U.K. amalgamation, of various U.K. oem suppliers. Hepworth pistons was part of AE too, along with many others

You will also see the letters 'AM' on the heads, that is for Aeroplane & Motor Aluminium Castings Ltd., which were a subsidary of Associated Engineering. It was A & M who made (almost) all the Stag heads.
