I used this Halfords oil for the first start up in my new engine. I will be draining it out soon.
I am thinking of using these high ZDDP Oils next, cannot make my mind up which one? Maybe the Heritage.

I use the fuzz heritage oil, all good for me but the tap they supply leaks past, so have to stand the container upright when not in use, no problem just an observation

I switched to the Fuzzy Heritage oil for my rebuilt engine after comments on here about Valvoline V1 changing its European formula with now unknown zddp levels. Can't see anything wrong with the Fuzzy one so far and price seems fair. Paul

I used to use the Halfords 20-50 but it’s only reckoned to be 800ppm Zinc in it’s ZDDP. The Comma offering is reckoned to be the same oil, just rebranded by Halfords.
Since the importance of ZDDP has become accepted, I’ve moved onto the Classic Oils Heritage 20-50 it has 1300ppm Zinc in it, so FizzTownsend now markets under his banner. It’s about £20 a litre so competitive and as one of the few oils to say what it’s zinc levels are ( printed 1” high on the tin) it’s mine and many others choice.

I also switched from VR1 to Heritage 20w-50 when I found out that Valvoline did not quote a zinc level in European spec VR1. Their current European data sheet states 1,500 ppm zinc although it doesn’t show the ZDDP level.

Anyone used the ZDDP additives? Seems cost effective when used with a say the Halfords classic oil and then topped up with this additive.

Riddle me that again Batman… I’m showing the Halfords 20-50 at £27 and the Classic 20-50 with Zinc at £24.

Blended in the UK to Fuzz's favourite formulation, Heritage 20W50's high-zinc content and carefully selected base oils make it ideal for later classics with oil filters.

Have I got it wrong ?

As the original poster on this , £20 a litre struck me as very expensive, hopefully it was a typo , regards Graham

I was referencing post (#8) that Heritage was £20 a litre, just looked it up and at £24 for 5 litre I think great value and I'll look to use myself on a not too distant oil change
