Cylinder head rebuild

Evening all,
So my heads went off to the menders today and now i will be sourcing part/gaskets for the rebuild.

The question i have is regarding the water pump gaskets and how many should i be using. Mine is a 12 vane pump. looking at the Rimmers "how to video " our friend Hans ( Demonstrator ) used 2 x 20 thou gaskets, Can any one who has done this before tell me is it ok to put two 20 thou gaskets anyway or should i measure the gap to see what the gap is.

Refer to the ROM section 26.50.03 paras 14 & 15 for the correct procedure to select and install the water pump cover gaskets.

Use blue tac or similar to check the gap.
