replacement rear wings

firstly apologies if i am posting this on the wrong part of the forum.

My restorer has uncovered lots and lots of filler in places as thick as three credit cards, most of it is in front of the rear wheel archs on both the rear wings. Ideally we would like complete new rear wings but can only find half rear wing repair panels available.

Are both he and I missing something, is it possible to get a complete replacement rear wing? if so any reccomendations for a supplier would be greatly appreciated.

SOCTFL sponsored complete rear wings were produced, briefly, many years ago but the guy who made them retired. It is unusual for a complete rear wing to be required other than due to accident damage. The half wing repair panel replaces all the usual rusty bits. This was mine being done in 2008.

Complete rear wings are showing as available from Rimmer Brothers. No idea of the quality or how well they fit. Expensive though over £1K each.

Depends on how bad your wing is but go for just the wheel arch if you can
nothing fits better than an original wing so patch where you can

Theo on Facebook had some nos rear wings a few months ago. They are very rare to find now.
Usually repair panels have to be used.
