    Smiths guages

    Any advise on how to get MK1 gauge black rims looking fresh again?
    Also are new glasses available economically for the above ?

    Darren there is a forum member on here who refurbs clocks - i think his name is Alan

    Someone will be along soon who knows his user name

    He also advertises on the bay of E

        I got a new set of chrome bezels from Speedograph Richfield, but I think they do them also in black. Try them for glasses too.

            Did my speedo myself, cleaned it with thinners (removed all old paint) then put masking tape around the outside with just enough at the top to carefully fold over to leave the narrow chrome band on the top edge. covered the glass in masking tape and run a scapulae around the inner edge to expose the area to be painted. The finished article looks perfect.

              Darren why dont you remove one gauge at a time, remove the black bezel and spray them,also give the glass a clean while your at it.
