Guessing this should not happen

Just removed the diff from the car.
guessing that oil should not pour out of the front? Emptied in a few minutes. Looks like the seal isn't even over the shaft.

That is perfectly normal, as it should be. The seal in the front of the diff meets the larger portion of the quill shaft and seals the oil into the diff. The quill shaft is still in the diff nose extension and has the prop shaft bolted to the other end of it.

Ok gotcha. More used to the TR setup
