Haha, oops sorry about the BMW insult.. I just don't get the fascination with those cars!
ANYWAY... No, I'm not looking for DLR lights, I just really love the 4 round headlights at the front of the Stag, and wanted to show them off a bit more. I guess I was inspired by this sort of thing
A bit like the Range Rover Évoque which to me looks like a “Monty Python” foot has squashed the back. However the LED driving lights will be the best thing
It's a bit like an Evoke copy gone wrong. (Edit - Sorry missed the post above! .. great minds..) I personally think that BMWs were the best, most technologically advanced cars up until about 2000. I think the family sold out shortly after that and all went down the tubes. It became about bling and outrageous styling over engineering. My 530D E39 circa 1998 is the best car I have ever owned (except for the Stag of course). Before that I had a 530i V8 and a 325i before that; all fantastic cars. I now drive an Audi Q5 as my "ordinary" car and it does not come close.

So why did you buy it? I have a Stag as my everyday car because nothing else I’ve driven in the past 40 years comes close. My tally includes German cars, French cars, Japanese cars, English cars, Spanish and American ones too…….my partner has a fixation about German cars, currently drives a BMW mini “Cooper S”. It’s horrible.
Have to admit to owning a 2008 Cooper S as well as the Stag and RR Sport…
The current minis are absolutely hideous, absolutely lost the design plot but I do like mine as it’s quite a little go kart - fed up with all the silly warning lights though especially the one have now that says my steering lock is not working properly. It obviously is but computer says otherwise….
I’d always drive then Stag in preference to any of the above though, especially the RR which while an excellent car I just find too big for every day stuff.

I think it's horses for courses. I was working in London and doing sometimes daily trips to Manchester. A 530D was a superb mile cruncher. Completely stable and quiet at 90 mph. A Stag is more food for the senses. It feels like your doing 90 when your doing 60! And you get the V8 burble. I used to get a lot of pleasure moving between the cars (Stag and BMW) because they each offered something different. With the Q5 I think the Stag handling and stability is better and the only advantage is a Q5 doubles up as a van!
