    Cigar Lighter

Is the cigar lighter a constant live with the ignition off?

I have a fairly decent solar battery conditioner / charger that I would like to hook up the Stag to via the cigar lighter but it needs a constant live.

I can't pop out to the car and have a look as it is still with the garage for a bit of fettling before it arrives home (and it is my first Stag)

        Thanks for the info.

I'm holding on buying a workshop manual until I get the Stag as there may be one included with the paperwork etc.

The workshop manual is also referred to as R.O.M. (Repair Operation Manual)
          A hard copy is worthwhile.
Its also available digitally. Maybe even here in the files section.
A nice version with indexes was made available in files on the Facebook triumph stag fan club site.
Thanks to the member who indexed it.
Parts catalog is also available as hard copy & digital too.
I one bought these digitally from heritage, but their reader became obsolete… so don’t worry regarding downloading their precious content from other sources these days.

Keep in mind that there are 2 versions of ROM out there, the 73 version, usually in a brown ring binder and easily found in pdf format which covers Mk1 cars and a 77 version, covers Mk2 as well and usually in Softback cover- white with green stripe, never seen a pdf of that one.. Both have slightly different info and it is nice to have them both..

The SOC has a pdf of the 1977 version (I know as I converted it to searchable). However, as this version is still in print, it was considered it would breach copyright, which I guess is fair enough.
White 1976 build ("Mk2") only a few mods

Thanks again for the info, I'll look them up. Mine is a '78 so I guess it is classed as a Mk2.

Fingers crossed it gets delivered tomorrow, I've been on tenterhooks for 5 weeks now and it feels forever...
