Capiilary water gauge

Hi All

I am considering fitting a capillary water gauge to our Stag. Can anyone advise of a source of a suitable gauge, preferably one where the needle faces downwards so as to match the other mark 1 gauges.

I run a combined capillary oil pressure and water temp guage, with a IMG_4654.JPG 0 to 60 psi scale for the oil pressure (which is more suited to the Stag engine IMHO). Unless memory fails me, I got it from Holdens. Water temp pointer is downwards.

Me too, mines the same combined unit as fitted to the MGB and at normal temperature it will be pointing at 6 o’clock

Try MGBeehive for a similar one..

Did you paint the bezel or could you buy it Black?

Alacrity - I actually bought it black, but that picture was taken during the process of spraying all the rest to match.

Can see it is available in black any more but I could paint it to match the standard MK2 gauges. I wasn't going to have an oil gauge (worry gauge!) but this this Lotus 60psi one looks OK.

I run full scale, full sweep water temp, oil temp and oil pressure gauges.

I have not seen a mechanical temp gauge which looks similar to the other Stag Mk1 gauges.
