I'm in process of fitting a dual gauge (water temp and oil pressue)to my Stag, trouble is the new capillary water senser is much longer than the original electical device and is too long tofit into the housing on the back of the cylinder head. I believe the thread is correct at 5/16UNF, its just too long.
I believe there was an adapter used on MG's part no 11K2846 and rimmers sell this for the GT6.
Has anybody got experience of this and whether it works on the Stag?
Also my Smiths gauges need a good clean, they are dusty inside the gauge. When you remove the bezel, there is the remains of a rubber seal between the bezel and gauge. It looks like it perished over the years. Does anyone know if this seal is available. Suppose speedycables might do them, but suspect they would rather charge a fortune for them to clean the gauges for me.
