    Power Steering Leak.

    Afternoon All.

I have a small leak on the C-nut on the power steering cylinder.

Is it OK to just tighten it up, or could I over tighten and cause damage?

I am thinking of adding stop leak for power steering systems. Is this a good idea?

    Cheers

Thats unusual I think, Are you sure its from the C nut and not some oil coming from the connections on the control or leaky hoses and dripping down on top of the rack??

There is an oring there that could leak, you could try tightening it but don't go daft on it. I used stop leak, it worked for a while. It is supposed to swell the seals a bit so worth a try.

      Thanks Terry.

I have fluid all around the bottom of the nut but seems to be dry above!! If the stop leak has been used before I will give this a try first.

Stop leak as most people know is a temp. fix. if you put that in the rack, you may have to rebuild your pump as well.
