    Electronic ignition

    Afternoon all,
I've just replaced the ignition system from a Lumenition performance model to a standard model (pma50). The Performance was too expensive to replace and according to the person i spoke to he reckons the standard one would be sufficient to my needs. I wondered if the timing needs to be re-adjusted or not. Has any one any thoughts on that. The car starts and runs fine.

    I would.
The timing is relative to the position of the sensor/chopper wheel, and you can't guarantee that the replacements are in exactly in the same relative position.
    Mike.
