    Lighting pod rubber and rivet

    Hello all

i was wondering if anyone has this information, it concerns the small split pin bolt and rubber that is used in the head light pod assembly. It’s the pivot point, not the bolt adjustment.

What I need to know is does the pin go through the rear plate or does it sit on the rear plate? I have different assemblies on my car.

I need to know what the correct assembly is please?

    TIA

If I am understanding you correctly then yes, it goes through the bowl & through the adjuster plate.

Thank you. That’s how I perceived it. Two of the bowls didn’t so hence my question.

How the lights were ever aligned properly I’ll never know. (Never driven in the dark with the car yet)

        Thanks

Additional question on the light pods.

Are all the pods fitted the same way. Or are the right and left reversed? I’ve fitted them all the same way after refurbishing them.

              Just re-opened the tread.

              Clarification on question,

When fitting the pods to the car, they all are in all the same way. However they could be rotated to still fit but be between 90 and 120 degrees rotated.

Is there a left and right set up? it would make sence that the left has slightly different adjustment to the right.

This might sound a daft question, but i've had to unbolt (yes unbolt not take a screw out) of the offside pods when referbising them, as a previous owner had used a bolt and then used nuts to get what can only be descttibed as an inch adjustment.

My concern is did he just assemble it incorrectly? if so as i've put it back in the same configeration (less the bolt and nuts) but will i get the same problems if the pod is wrong.

              thanks
