Sorry if it’s teaching you to suck eggs but if you half the new wheel width increase & subtract it from the original offset, that should be the offset on the replacement
e.g. your new wheel is 25.4mm wider /2 = 12.7; subtract from 28 gives 15.3 new offset.
keeps the geometry similar, the closer the rolling radius to original the better too.
