Fire blanket where to purchase some

Gent's am shortly going to have my new footwells welded in and am reluctant to remove all the dash and console, and would prefer to cover everything up, although the seats are removed as well as carpets. Do you know of anyone who sells fire blanket.

We have used it offshore for years where cutting and welding will be going on and it is pretty well flame proof and comes in a fabric like material.

Failing this any ideas on the best way to save any spark damage inside the car without removing all the plastic dash etc

STAG9304, that's the ones for putting out chip pan fires. Saw these in Homebase this afternoon but they were £21 each for 1 meter square. I think that it would be pretty expensive to by 6 of these. But I'll try the camping place and army and navy store and see what if anything fire resistant they have to offer, cheers

You are looking in the wrong areas.

I've bought them for work for site welding and grinding to protect the surrounding areas.

Your local welding engineering supply company should be able to sell you one to any size, duty, price you require. Just yell.com


Oh, and they are really quite thick heavy, don't get confused with a flimsy thin fire blanket used to throw over a chip pan fire, totally different beast!
