Thanks but those are the links to Magazine back issues. The various technical articles were gathered together in a document called Technical Reprints, which grouped all the relevant posts together. Was that not held as a PDF?
"Corporate Seagull" - from Ken Blanchard's book Leadership and the One Minute Manager: "Seagull managers fly in, make a lot of noise, dump on everyone, then fly out." It was often quoted by long suffering middle managers in British industry when talking about short-termism in policies and directives from board level.
So in order to write a good technical article the author must have a good technical understanding or maybe even first hand knowledge from the 1970s. This club used to have a bunch of them but they all left, of their own accord, more or less at the same time. Remember Jack Shaft? There are a number of others too

Maybe the club should start to recycle the old technical articles and republish them in the new glossy A4 magazine each month.
The cooling system study made for a very good read.
