Zf4 post I cannot find

Hi Everyone

I’m trying to find a post where someone has shown the dimensions from the centre of the output shaft on the zf4 box to the lower mount.

Could someone point me in the right direction as I cannot find it.

That depends what vehicle the ZF4HP22 has come out of surely.

If you are wanting the dimensions for the ZF as removed from an XJ40, then these may help.

Alan- your absolutely right, no wonder I couldn’t find it, I have it now.

I’m making a bracket to support the Jaguar box mount so needed the datum from the stag original mount and the centre line of the drive flange. Thankfully the Jag mount is smaller in width so I can adjust the vertical alignment inside the gbox tunnel. Still some way to go but it looks promising.

If you can get hold of a BMW tail shaft extension, the mounting options are simpler. The original crossmember can be used with a simple adapter.

Unfortunately I cannot change without invalidating the warranty so I’m stuck with what I’ve got now. But if I manage it it opens up more gearboxes to be used.
