sometimes your own PC decides to not show them , it's driven by the cache, it only updates certain things and often misses others out - if you press CTRL and 5 at the same time it should refresh the cache as well as the page!

Might work....

Thanks Mike--worked a treat.. But what does updating the cache mean?
Darren
At last I can contribute to the forum instead of just gleaning knowledge!
The cache stores information based on frequently used applications, such as websites, if you are frequently using the same page it will recognise information (such as your avatar) and rather than uploading it every time, to save time it holds it in the cache memory -speeding up your download times.
If for any reason it gets upset, instead of trying to upload the image it just disappears, as your computer is defaulting to look at the cache for that image. When you press CTRL and 5 it reboots the cache and clears it. Its worth doing every so often as frequently used sites will not have everything updated.
Another example could be something like ebay, it would not cache any information such as auctions, but may keep things like the ebay logo in cache, if this logo changed you would not see it until you refreshed the cache. The all empowering Microsoft decided the know best, it may speed things up but doesnt always help!
