    Built in Sat Nav

Who said renault were the only one's to provide built in Tomtom Sat Nav

Had a "Can that fit in there" day today and must admit the sat nav fits really well.

Easy to do all i need now is some black leatherete to cover the mounting board

Job done - can also remove it very easy for security

Neat. However would not like to loose the fresh air vent, especially with the side vents being so poor.
My answer was a blaupunkt single DIN sat nav, okay you don't get as much real estate as a tomtom but looks neat plus also Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity.

A little while ago i thought about doing this..... but the more i thought about it the more i figured there had to be an easier way........ in the end i opted for Sat Nav App on the Iphone and then a vent-mounted holder off ebay for a fiver - job done and can revert to the original look in 30 secs

Not very useful at the moment though with a stationary Stag !

My Tom Tom is also out of date and not wide screen.:X

For a damn good reason. IMHO sat nav is very useful showing me at the the bottom of the screen and where I am going at the top of the screen.

The bits at the side are where I would have ended up had I not bought a Tom Tom

I do think that that is a great idea to put a sat nav there.

I have plenty of ventilation in my Stag---the roof is normally off and if it isn't the quarterlight windows allow plenty of air in.

I am about to get rid of the drivers side eyeball vent and replace it with a 60mm clock from a P6 rover.

How have you allowed the satnav to fix in place and be easily removed?

Also what method of wiring it in have you used?

Looks good Steve--- I wanted a 60mm one to do away with the black ring , it will mirror the 60mm warning light cluster on the opposite side.

                      What is an o2 gauge?

Just what I did Darren - gives a balanced look to the dashboard. I did away with the air ducting from the side of the blower, which feeds the right-hand eyeball, and blanked off the outlet with a disc of the correct diameter, secured in place with gaffer tape. Still OK after 7 years.

Mine's been replaced by a clock but I do notice in dampish weather that the drivers side window is really difficult to de-mist. Terry
