Hazard

The Hazard does not work. When it is in the ' ON ' position the light does not light up .....I have tested the bulb and it is ok, the indicators will not work.
When its in the ' OFF ' position the indicators work. It was working ok a few months back.
I noticed there are a couple of wires missing...is that usual?

Just had a look at the pictures on suppliers website, yes the wires are not there ......but the problem is still there , indicators not working when hazard is on.

From what I understand, the hazard switch, when operated, interrupts the normal indicator function. At the same time, it brings the hazard flasher unit into play operating all flashers.

The indicators and hazard light use separate flasher units. Maybe your hazard light flasher unit is up the creek. I ran into an issue with my indicators. I tried swamping flasher units, but they are no the same for my Mk1 Fed. Stag

Hazard switch contacts can corrode. Operating it a few times can clean the contacts and restore normal functions.

Just a thought, Have you changed to LED bulbs with an electronic flasher bur not changed the hazard flasher unit seeing they are separate units.

Oh sh*t, I have fitted blue leds and the ldparts flasher unit. Do I need to change the Hazard flasher... if so which one do I need? I believe the hazard flasher is on the relay board behind the parcel shelf.

I don't know. I have converted to LEDs except for the headlights but my MK2 doesn't have Hazards.

Yes, both flashers will need to be replaced if you have installed led flasher lamps front and rear, fairly sure the same one as the turn flasher would do the job for the hazards. But if you just replaced the indicator lights in the dash cluster and still have regular bulbs then that should not affect the operation (I have done that)
