    CV Drive Shafts

What are the benefits of CV Drive Shafts?

    #2
If you buy the entire bag a mashings from one end to the other you will get a new hub and new stub axles as well. Search on the forum if you want hours of reading on why new hubs are a positive safety step forward.
As for the CV driveshafts there are at least 3 different sorts but the benefit will be more supple and smooth power delivery through and out of corners, the removal of the Stag "twitch" where the standard driveshafts are bound up by the torque and releasing the power mid corner removes the bind causing the driveshafts to abruptly realign and shaking the car. etc etc.

I think "supple" is a really good description. Certainly how my TR6 felt after changing rislan coated sliding splines for CV.

It’s the only way to go if your originals shafts or hubs are knackered.

CDD make the best units, actually designed for the car they fit rather than having to fit extra spacers as with some other types offered (see the timely article in this months mag)

        Cheers
