    Won’t start

I have just finished rebuilding the carburettors on my Mk2 Stag.

Put everything back on the car, it started for a very brief period now it won’t start. Could this be flooding (float height wrong - I am rechecking now).

When I took the fuel line off the carbs the fuel flow to the off side carb was fairly strong but the fuel flow to the near side carb was a trickle - is this normal or could it have something to do with it not starting?

Any help would be much appreciated.

the fuel supply comes from one line then splits to feed each carb. maybe one path is blocked. check for spark.

If you had both lines off the carbs maybe it just prefers the direct route! Try checking fuel flow again by blocking one then the other and compare the flows.

if you just rebuilt the carbs then it’s most likely fuel, try setting the jets a turn or so richer to make sure your initial setting is not the issue.
