Whilst holidaying with my wife in Tenerife the last month, we got chatting to couple at the poolside. Turns out in conversation the other fella also had an interest in F1, motorsports and cars in general. He mentioned a number of cars he had owned or restored past and present, latest being a Mk2 Ford RS2000 now completed in concourse condition. I shared the details of my 1972 Mk1 Stag, owned for 40+ years and a sleeping restoration project. Now the strange coincidence.... He went on to share that his brother had also owned (but recently sold) a1972 Stag and said he still had the private number plate I might be interested in, perfect for my car - 725 TAG (72 5TAG) ! What are the odds on that ??

Now whilst I've always wanted (dreamt !) of having just that plate and as tempting as it is, I have had to pass up on the offer. Realistically, the cash that would need to change hands is needed to finance future expenditure on my project, prioritising things like the paint job and a potential full engine rebuild. (Plus SWMBO would think I'm mad !) Oh well... I can dream on. We swapped contact details just in case I suddenly came into some extra cash.
He just sent me a message this evening mentioning his brother is up for a deal if still interested ...but I have to keep my priorities straight. Maybe someone here has that sort of money burning a hole in their pocket ?? (If Seriously interested please PM me for further details ...no affiliation nor am I on a commission as an agent)
