Correct boot seal?

Hi,
While I was valeting the Stag last weekend. I noticed the boot seal was profiled with the edge that pressed down onto the body upstand lip but the rubber top profile was just a folded flat of rubber lying flat that does not get compressed. This flat part gets lifted at the boot hinges.
I'm not sure if this is correct. Should the top profile be a tube that gets compressed when the boot is shut?
If so can anyone recommend a supplier that sells the correct type?

Does the seal offered by SOC spares have the compressible tube profile? It's hard to tell on the site photo.

They have the original push fit bonnet seals and the boot seal is proper.

The SOC spares one has a tube on top, but it is smaller than the alternative/incorrect ones.. It is a perfect fit, allowing the lid to shut under its own weight, rather than be slammed or pushed.

I have just checked my seal, which is 2cm tall overall, split equally between the base and the tube.
