Drop link angle

Hi

I have just upgraded the drop link arm to a poly bush version from Paddocks, I have tighened the nuts up while under load but the angle does not look correct?

I have not touched the anti roll bar?

Did the old one you took off sit at the same angle?

I replaced mine a year or so back and would have noticed that angle. Mine were straightish. I replaces all bushes.

It does look as though your anti-roll bar may be bent, or perhaps not centrally mounted if the link leans the other way on the near side.
I have just peered under my Stag and both links are vertical. The end of the bar where the link is attached is about 3/4" away from the end of the bracket that holds the rubber bump stop, which your's clearly isn't.

Just looked as mine and its also almost vertical but I cant work out how you took that picture..
So was the wheel off and its jacked up? or jacked on one side? if so maybe drop it onto its wheels and look again..

Just a thought - but the bolt holding the wishbone to the radius rod ought to go in from the top, not the bottom as in your pic. No biggie - just a precaution against what might happen if it ever came undone as I understand it.

Morning.....sorry I have been away so wasnt able to respond!
The picture was taken from the front of the car and I am sure that the angle was ok.
I intially tightened it up with the car still jacked but then loosened and retightened with the car on the ground.
I am going to take a photo of the other side as I want to change that also. I will post a pic a little later

These show the otherside. The angle of old rubber bushes are not straight?.......bit embarrassed about the rust!

The leaking oil from the engine and transmission is keeping my Stag from rusting under there.
