Hood release cable.

My hood release cable has snapped (at the lever end). Luckily it snapped when opening the hood. The tonneau release cable is OK.
Does anyone know if a bicycle rear brake cable will fit? The barrel nipple looks very similar and I'm loath to spend £45 on a full set of cables if I don't have to.

I have a spare set in Bristol if that’s any good. New, came with the car.

I have used bicycle brake cable to repair the tonneau release cable, i did buy a cable set from Stag supplier, but they didn't fit the release handle, if you go for bicycle cable get it from tandem bike

Halfords sell separate inner bike gear and brake cables and they are long enough the gear cables are a smaller diameter with bullet nipples as the brake cables have pear nipples

I made sure not to fix the rear seats. In case the cable snaps I can always have access to the cable.... Good luck, Dieter.
