    Rubber Coolant Hoses

Any recommendations (suppliers or material specifications) regarding the shaped rubber coolant hoses that fit either end of the steel pipe between the radiator outlet and engine inlet? I replaced these not long ago and the parts I fitted are already showing signs of cracking. I would like to replace these with parts that I can be confident will last a good few years. Any comments appreciated.

I would only buy these from either LD Parts or SOC Spares.

      Rubber or Silicone?
I use these in both my Stags, a bit expensive but good looking , most of all they are very strong and reliable. Cherry Red in one of my Stags.
You can purchase indivdual and purpose made ones as well.

Me to. I had some from Rimmers which were terrible, they never did refund me. Tim

UK made silicone hoses, bit pricey but fit once and forget!

I bought the complete set from LD when I did my timing chains - good quality as far as I can see.
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

Wherever you get them from, try to make sure that the two hoses are not the same. The top one is a 90 degree angle, but the bottom one should be about 110. A "90" can be made to fit both ends but it would be being stretched out of shape, and putting a strain on the rad. outlet pipe.
I suspect they may be difficult to find now.

In case it helps, I recently bought a kit from SOC Spares (rubber) and the bottom hoses were correctly angled as described above.
