Alternators

At a car show I picked up 3 alternator which look like the Mk2 alternator. . They might have been off an MG or some Triumph may be a TR6. The body looks like a regular alternator which can be used on a Stag. I told the guy I need to buy an alternator dead or alive so I can send it back on an exchange basis. I wanted 1 but he said I had to take all three for $5
There are no plates on them so I don't know what type they are. In any case, lets assume they are not an ACR18. What's the deal with the ACR18? Can I use a ACR16?

ACR16 is just a lower amperage version. Have a look at the attached.

Thanks. I have a Mk1 Stag with a AC11 it manages to run OK without any issues. I'm aware the current output on that is super low. Since I have three, I'll try one of them.

The ACRs are internally regulated, the AC11 external - you will need wiring modifications to swap between the two.

Sorry. Should have been clear. I'm saving this ACR* for a Mk2 project. I do have two running Mk1s' One of them is running an ACR18. I did the wiring mod for that.

I did some more digging into this last night. I have 1 ACR17. The other 2 say ACR15. The ACR 17 and ARC18 share the same plug. The others don't, but can be modified to work.
