    Youtube video on the Stag

    #2
Nice watch, I once (1994?) had Harry Webster or Spen King come to watch me work on a new engine design. Just sat behind me and watched for 2 hours. Never spoke. I only found out afterwards. Shame, because we could have spoken about stags….. I’ve had one for 35 years, current one 33.
They did sound quite pompous in the film!
Some of the YouTube comments are nice, some not so; & some really dumb!
    Thanks sujitroy.

Very interesting although an alarming lack of dental hygiene in the factory

I wonder why the wooden prototype for seat testing showed headrests yet they didn’t come in until the Mk 2?

Thanks for posting - well worth watching.

US cars had head rests from the start.

Interesting - why did they go to the expense of a different seat without headrests for the ROW? Seems odd.

My guess is that it was cheaper and not a legal requirement in ROW

Mk1 seats are the same. it is just the top cushion is replaced by a high level one for the USA. Four self tappers is all that holds either in place. Mk2 seats are different and standardised for all markets.
