Electronic ignition timing

Hi- quick question please. What’s the consensus on timing for electronic ignition- standard 12 degrees advance or has anyone found better set up?

It probably varies a little from car to car. Mine runs well at about 14 with Lumenition electronic ignition.Anne try experimenting with small changes. You might be able to detect the best timing by listening to how the engine runs as you vary it slightly

Timing for electronic ignition is the same as for points, 14 deg BTDC static is the opriginal spec. If using low octane fuel (below 97) then retard by a couple of degrees.
