New member - 1st question (of 100's no doubt)

I've recently bought a 74 Stag & one job I want to do is replace the rusty collection of screws fixing the grille, air intake grille, kick plates & headlights on with stainless screws. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the correct sizes.

    Hi Stag of the Dump,

Welcome aboard, from another relative newbie! (I have owned mine for just under two weeks). If all you need is to replace a few rusty screws you have done rather better than I did! I will be under the bonnet of mine replacing the viscous coupler in the morning! One of many jobs to be done.

A good resource for identifying part numbers and screw sizes is Rimmer Brothers. (I have no connection with them!). this link will take you to the front grill section.

The part no for the front Grill screws is GHF425 which works out to be a self tapping 10x1/2" . (Their bits won't be stainless but I imagine they would be fairly rust resistant).

Welcome.....That's how we all start . You should also look at LDPart.co.uk, Peter Howells runs it and if you send him a mail he will be of great assistance in identifying what you need.

      Good luck

            good handle

if you do the rear sus definitly use a set of poly bushes on the trailing arms this gets rid of the twitch.

i bought a set of rear trailing arms on ebay and did the bush work ,painted them up ect, when it came to the rehaul the car was off the road for an afternoon.

            welcome !
