    DASH LIGHTS.

The subject of dim dash lights comes up from time to time, and, apart from Kryten's idea of bypassing the rheostat, I'm hoping I've found a solution, I've got hold of some BA9S 4LED green bulbs, they're bayonet fit like ours, I'll let you know if they are the answer when I fit them. I don't imagine they'll be dimmable. (is there such a word ?)

A while back, some kind soul sent me some single LED screw bulbs, my mistake, they were no brighter than conventional ones when I put them across a battery. If that kind person gets in touch I'll send them back. Martin.

Have you been scouring bling sites Martin? I was only kidding when I suggested you put some LED's in front of your ally rad to show it off!

      No fear ! I've got 100W halogens for that ! :P

To my utter delight, I find that my dash bulbs are a mix of screw and bayonet -grrrrr and they alllookoriginal, I've got some spare bayonetholders with spades so that was a quick swap, even in daylight they're noticeably brighter and they seem to have two levels of brightness - fingers crossed. :dude: Martin.

        Hi Martin

That was me - but no need to send them back

          You may know alreadythis.

One of the main differences, and sometime drawbacks of LED lamps is that, unlike filament lampsthey are basically ((uni)directional. Some LED tail lamp clusters have LEDs facing in different directions to help make the lenses do what they did on filament lamps.

Led lamps will be a good idea but they are not dimmable
