    Suspension height

Hi guys, I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who is restoring his Stag I think he's over thinking this as I mentioned to him that ther'es a lot to go back into the car and it should right it's self once it's complete, however I said I'd put you chaps who have done complete restos and put his mind at rest. This is his question. Cheers Mike.
Hello, my stag is sitting too high, 17 inches from wheel centre to lip of wheel arch, admittedly the entire interior has been removed including doors, exhaust, both cylinder heads, rad etc, windscreen, T bar. The engine ( without heads) gear box, and transmission are all in place. The suspension front and rear have been removed, cleaned, painted, rebushed and refitted with original road springs, I didn't take any notice to the ride height before dismantling so have no comparison to go by, personally I think it will still be to high when all parts are refitted, has anybody else had same issue? Thanks

if you are using stock springs I wouldn't worry too much. The car eventually settles after a drive or two.

Seen that a few times, it will settle after a few miles.
