I'm looking to get my trim replaced on my mk2 stag. Am looking at the Shadow Blue Vinyl from Aldridge. Has anyone used them? Any good? Alternatives?

I’ve not ordered anything yet from Aldridge so can’t comment first hand as such but:
1. I was checking my car history file at the weekend and found the invoice for the cream (ahem) full trim that was supplied by them in 2010. Suffice to say it’s lasted better and longer than the bodywork and still looks good, with only one visible repair to the driver bolster and plenty of wear left elsewhere. I’m no expert but I’d say it’s high quality stuff. Note that it wasn’t fitted by them, just supplied.
2. I’ve exchanged several emails with a lady called Jenni who’s been very helpful in trying to identify my exact trim colour and a few other random questions. They reply promptly and accurately and on that basis I’ve been impressed with the service.
Out of interest, the full set cost £2100 in 2010!

I got a full interior from Aldridge and posted a while ago how well Aldridge dealt with an issue,

I was very impressed, I dealt with Jenni as well, I also asked some questions during the install which were quickly answered..
They definitely get my vote!Last edited by trunt; 6 July 2022, 11:34.Terry Hunt, Wilmington Delaware

+1 for Aldridge. Not sure about it in the Covid era, but a visit there to pick things up is a very interesting experience - lots of old classics and exotics being worked on.
I just screwed up on a bit of hardtop trim when contact adhesive won the battle; quick eMail to Aldridge - they couldn't do the one piece sewn in short order, but immediately sent out a strip of the fabric, when I said I can manage the sewing myself.
RS Escort seat trim is also a perfect replica of the original! The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

I paid £2600 so sensible offers around that price would be fine. It’s literally out of the box, it’s just the wrong colour unfortunately.
I can send examples of the leather.

I am looking around for a leather interior for a Stag. but unfortunately not in blue. My car is Mallard (green). I was thinking of Chestnut or mid-brown. The price of yours seems very good. Rimmers and Aldridge are over £3.5K. Are you OK to say who supplied yours?.
As a matter of interest, Aldridge claim not to be the supplier of Rimmers leather interiors, so does anyone know of who does supply Rimmers leather and what the quality is like? The plus point is that Rimmers do a Chesnut leather interior and Aldridge do not.
Any other recommendations for leather interiors at a reasonable price would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone do the front carpets with the Stag logo on the foot mat? Aldrige say theirs are plain.
Any advice appreciated!
Mike
